Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Invisible Sun', 2015 by Richard Mosse was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,231.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Mosse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nowhere to Run (Infra series), which sold at auction in May 2019 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,447.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Invisible Sun', 2015 von Richard Mosse kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 16.380,00 (€ 19.231,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Mosse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nowhere to Run (Infra series) beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.447,75) versteigert wurde.
