Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Mujer Sobre Fondo Azul by Ricardo Martínez. The price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 71,756.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ricardo Martínez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figura Yacente, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 257,000.00 (€ 197,874.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mujer Sobre Fondo Azul von Ricardo Martínez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 71.756,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ricardo Martínez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figura Yacente beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 257.000,00 (€ 197.874,96) versteigert wurde.
