Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Figura by Ricardo Martínez was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 40,320.00 (€ 33,065.44). Admittedly, works by Ricardo Martínez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figura Yacente in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 257,000.00 (€ 197,874.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Figura von Ricardo Martínez kam im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 40.320,00 (€ 33.065,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ricardo Martínez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figura Yacente im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 257.000,00 (€ 197.874,96).
