Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work In Absentia (A.D.) by Regina Silveira was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,901.42). Other works by Regina Silveira have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2001 by the work In absentia, M.D. at USD 17,625.00 (€ 20,845.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit In Absentia (A.D.) von Regina Silveira im September 2019 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.901,42) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Regina Silveira wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2001 die Arbeit In absentia, M.D. mit USD 17.625,00 (€ 20.845,65).
