This artwork by Raymond Duchamp-Villon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2014. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Petite Maggy sold for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,865.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raymond Duchamp-Villon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme assisse in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 1,439,500.00 (€ 1,541,385.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raymond Duchamp-Villon erzielte im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Petite Maggy für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.865,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raymond Duchamp-Villon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme assisse im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.439.500,00 (€ 1.541.385,59).
