In March 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw”, which included the work Mei by Raoul de Keyser. The »bidding war« ended at USD 56,250.00 (€ 52,579.92), 61% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Raoul de Keyser have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kalklijn (Chalk Line) in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 237,500.00.

Im März 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mei von Raoul de Keyser zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 52.579,92) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raoul de Keyser auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kalklijn (Chalk Line) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 237.500,00.
