Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Ralph Humphrey was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March this year. The price achieved of USD 82,550.00 (€ 75,928.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ralph Humphrey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A/60-61, which sold at auction in September 2017 for USD 237,500.00 (€ 201,049.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ralph Humphrey kam im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 82.550,00 (€ 75.928,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ralph Humphrey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A/60-61 beobachtet, die im September 2017 für USD 237.500,00 (€ 201.049,69) versteigert wurde.
