Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Station by Ralph Humphrey was sold in the 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,109.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Humphrey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A/60-61 in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 237,500.00 (€ 201,049.69).
& Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert.
