This artwork by Ralph Humphrey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in December 2020. In the 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Morning Session auction, the work Armanda sold for USD 107,100.00 (€ 87,571.55) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ralph Humphrey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A/60-61, which sold at auction in September 2017 for USD 237,500.00 (€ 201,049.69).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ralph Humphrey erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Morning Session wurde die Arbeit Armanda für USD 107.100,00 (€ 87.571,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ralph Humphrey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A/60-61 beobachtet, die im September 2017 für USD 237.500,00 (€ 201.049,69) versteigert wurde.
