Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Homage to Negro Baseball League by Radcliffe Bailey was auctioned at Phillips in New York in December 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,720.00 (€ 22,665.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Radcliffe Bailey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Day Of Soumbedioune In Dakar, 2008, which sold at auction in September 2021 for USD 62,812.50 (€ 54,256.28).
