Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Solemn Journey by Radcliffe Bailey was auctioned at Phillips in New York in February 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,658.69). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Radcliffe Bailey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Day Of Soumbedioune In Dakar, 2008, which sold at auction in September 2021 for USD 62,812.50 (€ 54,256.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Solemn Journey von Radcliffe Bailey kam im Februar 2017 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.658,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Radcliffe Bailey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Day Of Soumbedioune In Dakar, 2008 beobachtet, die im September 2021 für USD 62.812,50 (€ 54.256,28) versteigert wurde.
