Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work (Untitled Book) by Purvis Young was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March last year. It achieved a price of USD 693.00 (€ 624.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Purvis Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work People with Halos Above City, 1973 in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,439.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit (Untitled Book) von Purvis Young kam im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 693,00 (€ 624,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Purvis Young erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit People with Halos Above City, 1973 im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 39.439,29).
