Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bar du Peuple, Marseille by Pierre Huyghe was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in June 2012. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,704.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Huyghe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Streamside Day, Celebration Sketches, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,469.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bar du Peuple, Marseille von Pierre Huyghe wurde im Juni 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.704,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Huyghe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Streamside Day, Celebration Sketches beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.469,20) versteigert wurde.
