Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Remake (Fenêtre sur cour) - 1995 by Pierre Huyghe for EUR 4,723.00. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art at Artcurial and was even below the estimate range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Pierre Huyghe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Streamside Day, Celebration Sketches in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,469.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Remake (Fenêtre sur cour) - 1995 von Pierre Huyghe für EUR 4.723,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Artcurial erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Huyghe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Streamside Day, Celebration Sketches im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.469,20).
