Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Timekeeper by Pierre Huyghe was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in June 2012. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,704.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Huyghe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Streamside Day, Celebration Sketches, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,469.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Timekeeper von Pierre Huyghe wurde im Juni 2012 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.704,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Huyghe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Streamside Day, Celebration Sketches beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.469,20) versteigert wurde.
