Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Pavel Tchelitchew could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Day Auction auction, the work The Kite changed hands for USD 69,300.00 (€ 64,579.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pavel Tchelitchew achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Concert in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,385,000.00 (€ 1,619,289.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pavel Tchelitchew konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit The Kite für USD 69.300,00 (€ 64.579,26) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pavel Tchelitchew erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Concert im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.385.000,00 (€ 1.619.289,71).
