Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pavel Tchelitchew achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in December last year. In the Impressionist & Modern Art auction, the work Head in the Roots of a Tree sold for USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,528.88) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pavel Tchelitchew achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Concert in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,385,000.00 (€ 1,619,289.71).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pavel Tchelitchew erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Head in the Roots of a Tree für USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.528,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pavel Tchelitchew erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Concert im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.385.000,00 (€ 1.619.289,71).
