Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman, Thinking by Paloma Varga Weisz was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,113.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paloma Varga Weisz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 46,875.00 (€ 37,897.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Woman, Thinking von Paloma Varga Weisz kam im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 13.113,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Paloma Varga Weisz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 46.875,00 (€ 37.897,16) versteigert wurde.
