Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Slunecní Paprsek - Motocyklista (Sunbeam - Motorcyclist) by Otakar Švec. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,557.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Otakar Švec have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Czech sunbeam - Motorcyclist (Sluneční Paprsek - Motocyklista) in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 139,250.00 (€ 154,054.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Slunecní Paprsek - Motocyklista (Sunbeam - Motorcyclist) von Otakar Švec zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.557,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Otakar Švec auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Czech sunbeam - Motorcyclist (Sluneční Paprsek - Motocyklista) im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 139.250,00 (€ 154.054,24).
