The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 20,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than six times as high at GBP 139,250.00 (€ 154,054.24). This high result makes Czech sunbeam - Motorcyclist (Sluneční Paprsek - Motocyklista) the most expensive artwork by Otakar Švec that we have observed at auctions so far.
