The work Las Manos by Oswaldo Guayasamin was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. It achieved a price of USD 137,500.00 (€ 124,784.46), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Oswaldo Guayasamin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Quito en rojo sold at auction in May 2011 with the realized price of USD 314,500.00 (€ 218,767.39).

Die Arbeit Las Manos von Oswaldo Guayasamin wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 124.784,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Oswaldo Guayasamin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Quito en rojo im Mai 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 218.767,39).
