Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Flores by Oswaldo Guayasamin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 31,500.00 (€ 27,209.12). Admittedly, works by Oswaldo Guayasamin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Quito en rojo in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 218,767.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Flores von Oswaldo Guayasamin kam im September 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 31.500,00 (€ 27.209,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oswaldo Guayasamin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Quito en rojo im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 218.767,39).
