Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Portrait of Myra Landau by Oswaldo Guayasamin. The price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,269.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oswaldo Guayasamin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Quito en rojo in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 218,767.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Myra Landau von Oswaldo Guayasamin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.269,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oswaldo Guayasamin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Quito en rojo im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 218.767,39).
