Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Violinist by Oswaldo Guayasamin was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 90,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 93,750.00 (€ 79,624.60). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oswaldo Guayasamin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Quito en rojo, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 314,500.00 (€ 218,767.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Violinist von Oswaldo Guayasamin kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 90.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 93.750,00 (€ 79.624,60) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Oswaldo Guayasamin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Quito en rojo beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 314.500,00 (€ 218.767,39) versteigert wurde.
