Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Madre y niño by Oswaldo Guayasamin was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 90,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 100,000.00 (€ 83,696.02). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oswaldo Guayasamin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Quito en rojo, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 314,500.00 (€ 218,767.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Madre y niño von Oswaldo Guayasamin kam im November 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 90.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 100.000,00 (€ 83.696,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Oswaldo Guayasamin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Quito en rojo beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 314.500,00 (€ 218.767,39) versteigert wurde.
