Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Óscar Domínguez could be acquired at Christies in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper and Day Sale auction, the work Taureau changed hands for USD 47,880.00 (€ 44,618.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Óscar Domínguez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Toro Y Torero (Composition Au Taureau) in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,805,000.00 (€ 2,488,826.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Óscar Domínguez konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper and Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Taureau für USD 47.880,00 (€ 44.618,40) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Óscar Domínguez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Toro Y Torero (Composition Au Taureau) im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.805.000,00 (€ 2.488.826,92).
