A top price for Óscar Domínguez - as previously expected
In February 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Surrealist Art Evening Sale, which included the work Toro Y Torero (Composition Au Taureau) by Óscar Domínguez. The price achieved of GBP 1,805,000.00 (€ 2,488,826.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,300,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Toro Y Torero (Composition Au Taureau) is the most expensive artwork by Óscar Domínguez that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Februar 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Surrealist Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Toro Y Torero (Composition Au Taureau) von Óscar Domínguez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.805.000,00 (€ 2.488.826,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.300.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Toro Y Torero (Composition Au Taureau) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Óscar Domínguez, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
