Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from the Collection of Joni Gordon of Newspace Gallery, which included the work Honeycomb 1 by Norman Zammitt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,781.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Norman Zammitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work South Wall, 1976 in September this year with an auction result of USD 16,640.00 (€ 15,721.84).
