Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,450.00 (€ 3,797.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Norman Zammitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work South Wall, 1976 in September this year with an auction result of USD 16,640.00 (€ 15,721.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Alicia, 1983 von Norman Zammitt wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.450,00 (€ 3.797,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norman Zammitt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit South Wall, 1976 im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.640,00 (€ 15.721,84).
