Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work LACMA 8, 1986 by Norman Zammitt. The price achieved of USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,239.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Zammitt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work South Wall, 1976, which sold at auction in September this year for USD 16,640.00 (€ 15,721.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit LACMA 8, 1986 von Norman Zammitt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.239,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Norman Zammitt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit South Wall, 1976 beobachtet, die im September diesen Jahres für USD 16.640,00 (€ 15.721,84) versteigert wurde.
