Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California, which included the work Red/Blue Sides 2, 1982 by Norman Zammitt. The price achieved of USD 5,700.00 (€ 4,864.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Zammitt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work South Wall, 1976, which sold at auction in September this year for USD 16,640.00 (€ 15,721.84).
