In November 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale including Important Russian Paintings, which included the work Russian Night On The Southern Shore by Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy. The price achieved of USD 452,500.00 (€ 356,467.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Other works by Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2008 the work Russian Summer Has Ended was auctioned for USD 572,500.00 (€ 451,000.47).
