Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work On The Farm by Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,352.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian Summer Has Ended in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 572,500.00 (€ 451,000.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit On The Farm von Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.352,75) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Russian Summer Has Ended im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 572.500,00 (€ 451.000,47).
