Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calm On The Black Sea by Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy was sold in the Russian Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 80,500.00 (€ 100,580.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian Summer Has Ended in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 572,500.00 (€ 451,000.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calm On The Black Sea von Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Russian Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 80.500,00 (€ 100.580,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Russian Summer Has Ended im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 572.500,00 (€ 451.000,47).
