The work Russian Summer Has Ended by Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale including Important Russian Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2008. The price achieved of USD 572,500.00 (€ 451,000.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Russian Summer Has Ended is the most expensive artwork by Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy that we have observed at auctions so far.
