Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Soundsuit by Nick Cave. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 80,500.00 (€ 65,108.38). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nick Cave - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Soundsuit, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 189,000.00 (€ 154,994.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Soundsuit von Nick Cave zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 80.500,00 (€ 65.108,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Nick Cave mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Soundsuit beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 189.000,00 (€ 154.994,26) versteigert wurde.
