In March 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw”, which included the work Crystal Radio Station Calling River Boat Substation by Nathan Carter. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,375.00 (€ 4,089.55), 46% above the upper estimate. Other works by Nathan Carter have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,667.39) in July 2015 for the work Mt. Pleasant Isn't Anymore.
