Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work The Embrace by Nancy Spero. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,152.48), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nancy Spero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Love, Peace, Glory, which sold at auction in July 2020 for USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,959.74).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Embrace von Nancy Spero zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.152,48) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Nancy Spero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Love, Peace, Glory beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für USD 60.000,00 (€ 50.959,74) versteigert wurde.
