It achieved a price of USD 567,000.00 (€ 528,375.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 62%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mordecai Ardon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Awakening sold at auction in December 2014 with the realized price of USD 821,000.00 (€ 678,456.33).
