Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Mordecai Ardon was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2018. The price achieved of USD 75,000.00 (€ 65,467.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mordecai Ardon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Awakening in December 2014 with an auction result of USD 821,000.00 (€ 678,456.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mordecai Ardon kam im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 65.467,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mordecai Ardon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Awakening im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 821.000,00 (€ 678.456,33).
