Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli and International Art, which included the work Bird In Snowstorm by Mordecai Ardon. The price achieved of USD 250,000.00 (€ 226,880.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mordecai Ardon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Awakening, which sold at auction in December 2014 for USD 821,000.00 (€ 678,456.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli and International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bird In Snowstorm von Mordecai Ardon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 226.880,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mordecai Ardon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Awakening beobachtet, die im Dezember 2014 für USD 821.000,00 (€ 678.456,33) versteigert wurde.
