Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Deconstruction by Milo Matthieu was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 31,500.00 (€ 29,354.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Milo Matthieu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Los Siete Infantes in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 176,400.00 (€ 152,371.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Deconstruction von Milo Matthieu wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.500,00 (€ 29.354,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Milo Matthieu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Los Siete Infantes im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 176.400,00 (€ 152.371,08).
