Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Not Pollock (Mural 1950) by Mike Bidlo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2018. The price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,197.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mike Bidlo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Not Picasso (Bather with Beachball, 1932) in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,260,000.00 (€ 1,174,168.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Not Pollock (Mural 1950) von Mike Bidlo kam im November 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.197,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mike Bidlo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Not Picasso (Bather with Beachball, 1932) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.260.000,00 (€ 1.174.168,30).
