This artwork by Mike Bidlo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November last year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Not Warhol (Before and After II, 1960) sold for USD 56,700.00 (€ 54,925.89) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mike Bidlo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Not Picasso (Bather with Beachball, 1932) in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,260,000.00 (€ 1,174,168.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mike Bidlo erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Not Warhol (Before and After II, 1960) für USD 56.700,00 (€ 54.925,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mike Bidlo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Not Picasso (Bather with Beachball, 1932) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.260.000,00 (€ 1.174.168,30).
