A top price for Miguel Berrocal - as previously expected
The work Via Appia by Miguel Berrocal was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2014. The price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 50,249.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Via Appia is the most expensive artwork by Miguel Berrocal that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Via Appia von Miguel Berrocal kam im November 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 50.249,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Via Appia das teuerste Kunstwerk von Miguel Berrocal, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
