This artwork by Michaela Yearwood-Dan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Give She Life sold for USD 69,300.00 (€ 65,045.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michaela Yearwood-Dan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love me nots in February this year with an auction result of GBP 730,800.00 (€ 833,575.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michaela Yearwood-Dan erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Give She Life für USD 69.300,00 (€ 65.045,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michaela Yearwood-Dan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love me nots im Februar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 730.800,00 (€ 833.575,21).
