Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Tell 'em 1 time by Michaela Yearwood-Dan was worth HKD 3,024,000.00 (€ 362,459.92) to a buyer in May this year. This price was achieved in the auction Post-Millennium Evening Sale at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 980,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michaela Yearwood-Dan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Love me nots, which sold at auction in February this year for GBP 730,800.00 (€ 833,575.21).

Die Arbeit Tell 'em 1 time von Michaela Yearwood-Dan war einem Käufer im Mai diesen Jahres HKD 3.024.000,00 (€ 362.459,92) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post-Millennium Evening Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 980.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Michaela Yearwood-Dan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Love me nots beobachtet, die im Februar diesen Jahres für GBP 730.800,00 (€ 833.575,21) versteigert wurde.
