In November this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Post-Millennium Evening Sale, a Collab with Jay Chou, which included the work Saturn’s Return by Michaela Yearwood-Dan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 192,211.22), 37% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Michaela Yearwood-Dan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Love me nots in February this year with an auction result of GBP 730,800.00 (€ 833,575.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Post-Millennium Evening Sale, a Collab with Jay Chou durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saturn’s Return von Michaela Yearwood-Dan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 192.211,22) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michaela Yearwood-Dan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Love me nots im Februar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 730.800,00 (€ 833.575,21).
