Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Una Nuvola by Mattia Moreni for USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,807.41). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from the Collection of Joni Gordon of Newspace Gallery at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Mattia Moreni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Una nuvola in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 72,000.00 (€ 107,574.41).
