Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Autoritratto N. 55: La Sorella Zitella Asburgo Incipriata O La Decadenza Dell'Europasigned, Titled And Dated 1992, Signed, Titled And Dated 1992 On The Reverse, Oil And Mixed Media On Canvas by Mattia Moreni was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in May 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands fo Admittedly, works by Mattia Moreni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Una nuvola in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 72,000.00 (€ 107,574.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Autoritratto N. 55: La Sorella Zitella Asburgo Incipriata O La Decadenza Dell'Europasigned, Titled And Dated 1992, Signed, Titled And Dated 1992 On The Reverse, Oil And Mixed Media On Canvas von Mattia Moreni im Mai 2014 bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 13.750,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mattia Moreni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Una nuvola im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.000,00 (€ 107.574,41).
